Wang Ying Visited the USA and Canada
During August 13-22, secretary of party committee of university and professor Wang Ying visited the Kentucky Murray State University of America and Thompson University of Canada with principal assistant Han Jianmin, director of Degree Office professor Li Jianping, director of Economics Institute professor Xu Yongbing and director of International Exchange Centre Shang Liwei, in order to enhance the internationalization level on education, scientific research and discipline construction of our university. They communicated and discussed the issues on education internationalization, teacher further study and student cultivation etc.
On August 16, delegation visited the campus of Murray State University and had an informal discussion accompanied by the president of Murray State University, vice-president who are in charge of teaching, finance and student administration, directors of International Exchage Centre and Business School. Both sides spoke highly of the cooperation achievements before and reach a consensus for the further cooperation.
On August 17, delegation met the president, vice-president, directors of International Exchage Centre and Business School of Concordia University in Chicago, Two parties took a friendly negotiation on the issues of cooperation-run school on multi-levels and teacher cultivation and so on. Secretary of party committee Wang signed on behalf of our university the Friendly Cooperation Agreement between Hebei University of Economics and Business with Concordia University Chicago of America and the Agreement on the Project of MBA Cooperation and Research Scholar between Hebei University of Economics and Business with Concordia University Chicago of America. After the meeting, secretary of party committee Wang and delegation visited the residence for the further study teachers of our university accompanied by the president of Concordia University.
In the morning of August 20, our delegation met the directors of Thompson University of Canada. Two parties introduced the development and basic information on education and discipline construction of respective university. Two parties discussed the cooperative details and ways, and reached cooperative intention.
This visiting enhanced the connection and exchange between High schools in the USA .and Canada with Hebei University of Economics and Business and the mutual trust and friendship of both sides. The foundation of further international cooperation was established, and the channel of international exchange and cooperation was broadened. The expected goal was realized.
