Hebei University of Economics and Business (HUEB) is one of the 10 top universities in Hebei Province, with Economics, Management, and Law as predominant disciplines while Arts, Science and Technology are also highlights. In the assessment carried out by the Ministry of Education of China in 2004, HUEB was appraised as Excellent for the fine quality of its academic research and teaching. Founded in 1953 as Shijiazhuang School of Supply and Sales under the administration of Hebei Supply and Sales Corporation, HUEB has then integrated three former institutions including Hebei College of Finance and Economics, Hebei College of Economics and Trade, and Hebei Advanced Academy of Business in 1955.

　  International exchange is based on its own conditions to adhere to the principle of “open education to serve the society”. So far our university has established contact and cooperation with 28 educational institutions in the following countries, the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Australia, Nepal and Zambia. Thus, the university has quickened the process of international relation.
      In 2003, the university invited experts from the United States to establish the “Training Base for English Teachers from Primary and Middle schools in Hebei Province”, which has educated over 2000 teachers. Since 2009, the university has organized the foreign program founded by the Ministry of Commerce. Being the first foreign-aid base for the Seminar on Economic and Trade for Teachers from African English speaking Countries, our university cultivates talents to help in the development of African countries to develop. The university started training volunteer Chinese teachers for HanBan that same year.
      In 2007, our university was the first in Hebei Province to cooperate with Kathmandu University of Nepal to construct the first Confucius Institute, a teaching and research agency promoting Chinese language and culture around the world. In 2010, the university worked with Zambia University to launch a Confucius Institute there. In 2011, the university worked with Ghana University to set up a Confucius Institute there. 
      From 2010, entrusted by HanBan, the university organized the “Performance Tour”. A   lecture and exhibition tour” in Zambia, Ethiopia, Nepal, Bangladesh, which received high praise from the participants. In the same year, our university set up Korean Culture Research Center by cooperating with Kwangju Women’s College, which served as a bridge for the communication of Chinese and South Korean culture.
