1. The General Terms

The English teacher should obey Chinese laws and regulations with friendly attitude toward China and love to Chinese education, live in harmony with the teachers and students.

The English teacher should be native English speaker.

The English teacher should be below 60 years old, male or female, good health, no history of major diseases.

The English teacher should have Bachelor Degree or above with more than two years teaching experience.

2. Job Description

The English teacher will teach courses such as Spoken English, English Reading, and Training Program.

The total periods per week are 14 to 16 academic hours, each period lasts 45 minutes.

At the end of each semester, the English teacher shall give the students final examinations in class and submit the grades of the students to the related department or college.

The English teacher should complete the work assigned by the university on time, in full and to a satisfactory level of quality, and perform the teacher’s obligations.

The English teacher should not be employed by any other company or individual either directly or indirectly during the contract term.

3. Living Conditions

The university will guarantee the English teacher’s basic living condition for living in China.

The university will provide one apartment with a living room and a bed room with furniture, bed, phone, TV, refrigerator, kitchen, toilet and heating and air-conditioned system

The university will be responsible for the physical exam and procedures of Foreign Expert Certificate and Resident Permission of the English teacher.

The university will be responsible for providing teaching assistants.

4. Salary and Income Tax

The university fixes the English teacher’s salary in accordance with relevant rules under the national allotment system. The English teacher’s monthly payment is 4000-4200 RMB Yuan if the English teacher has Bachelor Degree or 4500 RMB Yuan if the English teacher have Master Degree or above.

A maximum of 3,000 Yuan of the monthly income can be converted into foreign currency.

The university has the right to make deductions from the English teacher’s salary in case the English teacher disregards the university’s rules and damages the university’s property, is fined economically for violation of employment rules and regulations, and pays penalty or compensation for violating the contract.

The university will give payment to the English teacher in the form of currency before the 10th of the corresponding month. If the date coincides with a legal holiday, the payday is moved up to the preceding workday. The payment is given on a monthly basis. For services of less than one month, the payment will be made for each working day.

It is the English teacher’s obligation to report and pay personal income tax. In accordance with relevant national regulations, the university performs the duty of deducting the tax from the English teacher’s salary and other income and pays it to tax authorities.

5. Transportation fees and allowances

After the successful completion of the task stipulated in the contract, (in the last month of the employment period) the English teacher shall deliver a written evidence by the corresponding department or college to International Exchange Center (IEC), which will approve that the English teacher has already finished work during the employment period. After IEC receives the evidence, the university shall provide the English teacher a roundtrip air ticket(international air ticket of economy-class seat from Beijing to the nearest place in the English teacher’s country)at a reasonable price. The English teacher should provide the air ticket or air ticket receipt to get the money or ask the university to buy the ticket directly

After the successful completion of the task stipulated in the contract, the university will provide the English teacher with a vacation allowance of ¥2200 (unconvertible) for traveling.

6. Vacation

The English teacher is entitled to the same legal holidays as Chinese citizens, which include New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, International Labor Day, Duanwu Festival, Chinese National Day, Mid-autumn Festival and other holidays designated by law and regulations.
