ZambiaNational Television Shooting Chinese Program

    Held by Confucius Institute of Hebei University of Economics and Business at UNZA, "Learn Chinese With Me" is a series of program for spreading Chinese language and disseminating Chinese culture taping in August 2012 and launching on November 16 at Zambia national television company (ZNBC), which started filming at each teaching pointrecently.This is a new attempt in Teaching Foreigners Chinese held by Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia
    On 20^th, the crew went into the key schools in Zambia - Garden School and Lusaka International School. Chinese volunteer teacher Yang Feng led everyone into the Chinese paradise. His vivid scene teaching methods made students learn with relish. “Eyes, nose, head, face”, one word after another was illustrated to students, and the using of body language gave a deeper impression to pupils and was warmly welcomed by children. The most eye-catching performance was Nunchakus Practice by teacher Yang Feng, which got constant cheers from small Chinese Kung Fu fans. On 22^nd, the crew arrived at the International School of Lusaka in Zambia, teacher Guo Guangwei began teaching with "Do you know what color Chinese people like best?", " Which numbers are auspicious in the mind of Chinese people?", "What’s the population in China?", which included various elements of Chinese culture. It made the students learn more about Chinese customs while learning Chinese language. The principal of garden school said during an interview to reporter, “Along with the rapid economic development in China currently, exchanges in economic, political and cultural fields between Sino-Zambia have become increasingly frequent”, “learning Chinese should begin from childhood” has become a top priority. Our school will continue to support teaching and cultural activities from Confucius Institute at UNZA and hope that Zambian education sector can take Chinese into curriculum system at more schools as soon as possible.
    "Learn Chinese with Me" camera crew used HD equipments to take films on Practical Teaching Chinese at various scenes. Audience can learn Chinese easily in a lively and humorous atmosphere and get much more Chinese culture and Chinese scenery, which reflected the unique charm of China today. This activity held by Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia supported by Hanban / Confucius Institute Headquarters, Zambian Ministry of Education, Chinese Embassy in Zambia got praise from all walks of Zambia society.
